Murder By Death - Who Will Survive And What Will Be Left Of Them (Prequel)
This was a short I created based on the Album Who Will Survive and What Will be Left of Them by Murder By Death. A Prequel of their CD. This has no official connection to the band, just a big fan of the Album. We used florescent paint and a black light to get keyable colors on our actors. One hard part we had was while shooting we forgot to place tracking markers for the bullet hole. But this was fixed very easily using imagineer systems mocha to track the face.
Ikan eat anything.
This is a short film that myself and two other writers created for the "ikan HDSLR Revolution Short Film Contest". A small disclaimer if your confused about the subject the film, the guild lines for this contest where to "create a film using your HDSLR camera that utilizes the ikan name, logo or an ikan product in a creative, positive manner. Your film must adhere to the simple, one-word theme of ‘revolution'. This was a fun little project to film and everyone that worked on it did a great job. We shot this on a Canon T2i and edited in Final Cut Pro, with some color correction in After Effects. I do wish we had a little more time in post production, but I am quite happy with the out come over. Hope you enjoy it.
Matchmove Tech. Demo
An intro to a video I worked on. A green screen set we shot on with matchmoving to bring two separate moving cameras jointed together with a CG camera to create one seamless camera move.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Home Made the film, greenscreen work
This was a Columbia Practicum in 2009 called Home Made. I was given this footage which was a challenge to work with. This was one of the key footage that made me want to become a VFX Supervisor. They had thrown large white X's all over the screen that the kids constantly crossed. But with a lot of masking and distracting lens flairs, you shouldn't even notice them. I was given a completely still image to work with for the background, which I took into illustrator and recreated it with layers that could be brought back into AE and animated.
Emmetts Last Stand VFX - Object Removal and Green Screen
This was a little job I did for an independent short film a few years ago. The director Brian Patterson wanted a magazine cover to come alive. So with some greenscreen work and pre-prep, we have "Persons" magazine alive in from of your eyes. Originally we had a piece of green cardboard sitting in for the magazine, but that seemed to cause more issues then help, and being a locked-off shot, it was much easier to keep the original magazine in there and with a little roto work, get what you see now.
